Over 600 Toys Donated Through 2017 CUIMC Toy Drive

Every December, CUIMC's Office of Government & Community Affairs coordinates the medical center's annual toy drive. Medical center faculty, staff, and students have the opportunity to spread holiday cheer by donating new toys to local children in the Washington Heights and Inwood community. While most toys are collected in bins placed throughout the medical center campus, several departments took the initiative to use their office holiday parties as opportunities to collect additional toys for the drive.

This year, CUIMC collected over 600 toys to children ages 3 through 12. Toys were donated to the Washington Heights Childcare Center, 33rd Precinct Community Council, ACDP Outpatient Mental Health Clinic, and PS 115, which have all distributed their toys to children over the last several weeks as part of celebrations for Christmas and Three Kings' Day. We are grateful for the generosity of our CUIMC community and its continued support of our neighbors.
