Democracy Prep Hosts Expert Panel on COVID19 Vaccine
On Monday, March 8, Democracy Prep Public Schools hosted a COVID-19 Vaccine forum for their students and families. The webinar featured a panel of experts from Columbia University Irving Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian, school administrators and a question and answer segment.
The panel included:
- Rafael Lantigua, MD, Director, Office of Community Service Programs; Associate Dean for Community Service; Professor of Medicine.
- Magdalena Sobieszczyk, MD, MPH, Associate Fellowship Program Director, Chief, Division of Infectious Diseases.
- Kellie Bryant, DNP, WHNP, CHSE, Executive Director of Simulation and Assistant Professor, Columbia University School of Nursing.
- Mara Minguez, MD,MD, MSc, Assistant Chief Medical Officer for Community Affairs & Medical Director, Lang Youth Medical Program, NewYork- Presbyterian Hospital.
Princess Lyles, VP of External Affairs of Democracy Prep Public Schools stated, "Democracy Prep is proud to have partnered with Columbia Irving Medical Center to bring such an important conversation to our community to ensure our entire community has the information it needs to make informed decisions about the COVID vaccine as it becomes available."
